Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake Wednesday was named winner of the MLS is Back Tournament Golden Glove.

Blake led all goalkeepers in the competition with 32 saves, far and away the most in the competition. He also produced an 86.5 save percentage, which also was best among the league’s goalkeeper.

He backstopped the Union to four wins and a place in the semifinals.

Blake opened the tourney with a seven-save shutout of New York City FC, one of two clean sheets, which he also tied for the competition lead. He also made five saves in a 1-0 win over the New England Revolution in the Round of 16.

Of Blake’s 32 saves, 19 of them came on shots from inside the penalty area. That included a remarkable save on NYCFC’s Héber in the 87th minute of the tournament-opening match July 9, which preserved a 1-0 victory and has been nominated for the save of the tournament.
