WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Head coach Krissy Turner secured her 250th career victory as the Monmouth University women recorded a 9-0 victory over Saint Peter’s College in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at Hesse Field on the Great Lawn Saturday night.

Monmouth (6-3-1, 1-1-0) had six different players score against Saint Peter’s (1-7-0, 1-1-0).

“This was a terrific team performance tonight,” said Turner, whose record improved to 250-159-30. “Unselfish play all over the field created numerous scoring chances for us. We had a great response from the group all week and it resulted in a dominating win.”

The Hawks built a 5-0 lead by halftime behind two goals each from Madie Gibson and Lexie Palladino. Palladino’s second goal came less than two minutes after her first on a 20-yard free kick that found the upper right corner and made it 4-0. Freshman A’Liah Moore scored her first-career goal to close the first-half scoring in the 41st minute.

Alli DeLuca added to Monmouth’s lead 90 seconds into the second half before a header by LeAnne Davis made it 7-0 in the 61st minute. Esther Wellman deposited her first goal and Moore scored her second of the night to run the final total to 9-0.

The Hawks travel to Manhattan College Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in a rematch of last season’s MAAC Championship.
