CHARLESTON, S.C. — Red Bull II advanced to the United Soccer League semifinals for the third consecutive season, eliminating the Charleston Battery in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals with a 1-0 result at MUSC Health Stadium Saturday night.

The win extended New York’s winning streak to four games, three on the road.

Tom Barlow connected on the lone of the match in the 21st minute. He chested down a pass from Amando Moreno and finished it in the top right corner, his ninth goal of the season and fourth in his last 45 minutes against the Battery (dating back to August 2018).

Goalkeeper Evan Louro preserved his fourth clean sheet, making four saves.

NYRB II is one of the four teams who have qualified for the USL Cup Playoffs in every season since 2015 (Louisville City FC, Charleston Battery and Sacramento Republic).

New York advanced to the semifinals to face FC Cincinnati, October 27 at Nippert Stadium Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.

The two top-scoring offenses in the USL will clash.
