As a result of the withdrawal of FC Dallas and Nashville SC, Major League Soccer has reconfigured the opening round of the MLS Is Back Tournament into six groups.

Each will consist of four teams.

New York City FC will remain in Group A, but its third opponent Chicago Fire FC, has been moved to Group B.

City now will play Inter Miami CF in in its final group stage match on Monday, July 20 at 9 a.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN Deportes).

The club’s second group stage match against Orlando City SC will remain on Tuesday, July 14, but has been moved to 8 p.m. ET.

After 16 consecutive days of group stage matches, the top two teams from each group. along with the four best third-place finishers, will move on to the knockout stage, which begins July 25.
