NEW YORK — Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Simeone today announced a 26-man roster that will travel to the United States for the Major League Soccer All-Star game.
The Spanish super club will face the best of MLS at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Wednesday, July 31 (8 p.m. ET, live on FS1, UniMás, TSN and TVA Sports).
The list of players features star signings, including 19-year-old goal-scorer João Félix and Mexican World Cup veteran Héctor Herrera who are set to join Spanish midfielder and Atleti captain Koke to represent Atlético de Madrid at the 2019 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by Target Tuesday, July 30, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Atlético de Madrid also features Álvaro Morata, a member of the Spain national team and proven goalscorer in the world’s most competitive leagues; Diego Costa, a striker who has enjoyed a long and successful career at the club level and with the Spain national side, and Jan Oblak, one of the top goalkeepers on the international scene who has won the last four consecutive Zamora trophies as La Liga’s best goalkeeper.
