Former New York City FC midfielder Mix Diskerud is on the move again.

Diskerud has joined Denizlispor in Turkey from Manchester City for an undiscosed fee.

He has signed with the club through June 2022.

The former U.S. men’s national team player owns the distinction of having scored NYCFC’s first goal in Major League Soccer, in the team’s inaugural 1-1 draw at Orlando City SC in 2015.

Diskerud, 30, never lived up to expecations, scoring four goals 39 games over three seasons.

Since leaving the club after the 2017 season, Diiskerud signed with Manchester City in 2018 and has played on loan forr three clubs. That includes IFK Goteborg (Sweden), Ulsan Hyundai (South Korea) and Helsingborg (Sweden).

He has made 38 USMNT appearances, scoring eight times.
