HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Head coach Richard Nuttall announced the Hofstra University men’s soccer team’s fall schedule Wednesday.

The 17-game 2018 slate features five teams that advanced to the 2017 NCAA Division I Tournament – Colgate University, Dartmouth, UNCW, William & Mary College and Columbia University – with four advancing to the second round. Colgate reached the third round.

Of the Pride’s 17 opponents, 12 were ranked in the top 100 in the final RPI of 2017 and 10 finished the 2017 season with winning records.

Hofstra finished 6-6-6 last year, advancing to the Colonial Athletic Association Championship for the sixth consecutive season and posting one loss in conference play.

The Pride will open the season with a five-game road stretch, beginning with the Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic at Ohio State. That’s where Hofstra will take on the University Dayton in its season opener Aug. 24 before squaring off with the host Buckeyes Aug. 26. The Pride opens its home schedule against Harvard University at Hofstra Soccer Stadium Sept. 9.

Season tickets are available for $35, and will provide entry into six men’s home games and eight women’s home matches.

All 2018 Hofstra soccer season ticket holders also will receive a complimentary Hofstra seat cushion this year. Season ticket holders will receive one seat cushion per ticket purchased.
